The current resource configuration process is a little cumbersome. It requires you to manually enter all of the details by hand, and to 'know' what properties are important for different types of resources (eg: java.bin for java).
Whilst this level of configurability is important, we need to simplify the process by adding a wizard interface to the add resource process. For example, adding a jvm configuration should be as easy as
a) selecting the add jvm option
b) selecting the jvms installation directory
The result should be a configured java resource, with auto completed properties and version details.
We can extend this to other well known resources, including maven, maven 2, ant etc.
