I tried the steps but had no problem. I was confused by "wait for a few seconds for the next ajax refresh", though. The admin pages only reload when you change something, you don't wait for refresh? I thought maybe you meant the browse page, but renames don't seem to break that either.
Ok, I can not reproduce it using those steps any longer either. However :)
Rather than waiting for a few seconds (my mistake - i assumed there was a refresh based on the behaviour i was seeing), if you hover the mouse over the newly named node in the hierarchy tree, you will generate JS errors. Moving the mouse over the various nodes in the tree will repeatedly generate errors for onMouseOver and onMouseOut of the node that was recently renamed. I am seeing this in FF2. The original problem that I was seeing is still partially visible. - create template 'base' - create template of base called 'child' - change the name of 'child' to 'base squared' - click back to the hierarchy panel Now, when you click on a node other than the one currently selected, you typically see an ajax load of that node and the tree updates accordingly. However, what seems to be happening is that the tree has lost sync somehow and a full tree refresh is triggered. |
