Support msbuild natively

Created: 10/Aug/07 03:39 PM   Updated: 29/Sep/08 11:07 PM
Component/s: None
Affects Version/s: None
Fix Version/s: 2.0.12

Environment: Windows builds

 Description  « Hide
msbuild is a system very close to Ant. As it comes standard with Visual Studio 2005 and 2008 it is widely used and it would be great (and probably not too difficult) to support natively.
Today the workaround is to use the 'executable' type and simply call the msbuild command.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for the request. Msbuild is definitely on our list (along with Nant the highest priorities in this area) and it is better to put it on the visible roadmap.

I second this. It's a very important functionality. Thinking about how many thousands of Visual Studio users there are out there it's something which should not be overlooked.

2.0.12 is full and needs to go out, so this is being pushed to 2.0.13 as one of the primary components to be implemented along with the bug fixes.

Seems I was a little hasty in moving this as it is in progress now.
